Meet a Berlin ACT Tutor: Paula Q.
Paula Q. was born in Oslo, Norway, and lived there for the first twelve years of her life until her father was offered an exciting job opportunity in California. An advanced reader from an early age, Paula loved books and stories. Paula hoped to establish herself as a professional editor, but she knew her career would start with obtaining the best undergraduate education possible. Paula participated in a classroom-style group prep course, and her hard work was rewarded with an impressively high ACT score. Paula chose to attend Cornell University, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in English. She then completed a master's degree in education at Princeton University before accepting a position with a well-known publishing house.
When Paula's husband was offered a new job in Berlin, she was happy to relocate. She soon began offering online writing workshops for high school students preparing for college entrance exams, in addition to continuing her editorial work. Paula soon joined the team at Manhattan Review, and students consistently praise her encouraging teaching style, as well as her patience, filling her courses almost as soon as they are announced. When she isn't guiding future college students to their own test-taking success, Paula can be found visiting local bookstores and writing her first novel.
