Meet a Berlin Tutor: Adele R.

Adele R. grew up in Berlin, then moved to the United States to attend college. She grew up respecting the teachers who helped her succeed in school and knew she wanted to support others in their learning endeavors, which led her to pursue a career as a teacher. Adele majored in history at Boston University. She then obtained a master's degree in education from Harvard University and after graduating, she accepted a position in the Boston public school system, teaching history, language arts, and English to English-speaking and ESL students. Adele loved the work she did received many well-deserved promotions. As she found herself assuming a more managerial role, Adele began to miss working directly with students and hoped to return to the classroom. After a few years, Adele was offered a position at a school in Berlin, and she was thrilled to return home. When Manhattan Review opened an office in the city, Adele quickly joined the team as a professional instructor.
