A high score demonstrates your readiness to learn in the English language, as well as your ability to engage with others in English. When it comes to preparing for an exam as important as the IELTS, many students enjoy learning in the company of others. Other students, however, know they do not perform to their full capabilities when attempting to learn in a classroom-style group setting. They may find themselves distracted by others or frustrated when they must alter their own pace of learning to match that of their peers. If you are an ESL student ready to prepare for the IELTS and know you learn best through a program of study customized to your unique test-taking needs, consider working with one of the sought-after private tutors at Manhattan Review.
While learning any new language can be challenging, those who learn English as their second, third, or fourth language know true mastery requires far more effort than merely reviewing vocabulary words. Meet a Frankfurt IELTS Tutor: Valerie Y.
Valerie Y. was born in London, England, and she has always enjoyed sharing information with people. In her teens, he discovered an interest in advertising and marketing. Knowing she wanted a quality education, Valerie worked hard in high school, and she prepared for the SAT with a private tutor. After receiving an impressive SAT score, Valerie was accepted to Brown University, where she majored in marketing. During her undergraduate program, she spent five semesters working in the university's learning center, helping others master information that came easily to her. She then attended the University of California at San Diego, where she obtained a master's degree in teaching, as well as a TESOL certificate, and after graduating, she accepted a position with a large social media organization in San Francisco.
A few years later, Valerie was offered an exciting social media marketing position in Frankfurt, and she happily relocated to the dynamic city. Although she enjoyed the creative demands of her new job, Valerie quickly found that she missed working with students and making a positive difference in their lives. She soon joined the team at Manhattan Review as a TOEFL and IELTS tutor, helping others master the English language. When she isn't guiding the next generation of English-speakers prepare to IELTS success, Valerie can be found creating eye-catching virtual campaigns and playing racquetball.
