Meet a Frankfurt SAT Tutor: Elise B.

Elise B. was born in Vienna, Austria, but moved to Washington, DC, with her family as a teen. Elise had dreamed of becoming a professional illustrator and graphic designer since she was young. She worked very hard during high school, developing an impressive art portfolio in addition to chairing various committees and serving as treasurer of the student council. Her diligence, combined with a very high SAT score, earned Elise a place at Johns Hopkins University, where she chose to major in graphic design. Elise worked in the college's learning center for five semesters, helping others master topics that came easily to her, and she was surprised to discover how much she enjoyed supporting others' learning.

After graduating from Johns Hopkins, Irena remained in Baltimore, where she taught art classes at a local high school and college while also building her client list as a freelance artist. Elise went on to obtain a master's degree in education from the University of Maryland, and when her former college roommate accepted a job in Frankfurt, she invited Elise to move with her. Elise was excited to enjoy a new adventure, and after relocating, she obtained a position teaching art in an after-school program.
