SAT Tutoring in London

Are you a London-based student seeking to obtain the highest possible score on the SAT? If you are searching for the most effective and comprehensive SAT preparation resources, look no further than the standardized test prep experts at Manhattan Review. When it comes to mastering challenging academic information, many students learn perfectly well in classroom-style group settings, finding their learning improved by others' questions and comments. Other students, however, know that they do not perform at their best in a group setting. They worry about not grasping information as fast as other students and fear holding the group back. Alternatively, these students may feel frustrated when they have mastered a particular concept but cannot move forward until the rest of the group is able to demonstrate similar mastery. If you find trying to learn test-related information in a group more distracting than helpful and know you retain concepts best through one-on-one instruction, consider working with one of the experienced private tutors at Manhattan Review.

Meet a London SAT Tutor: Alison E.

Alison E. was born in Costa Rica but moved to Los Angeles with her family as a teen. Alison was a gifted artist from an early age and dreamed of one day becoming a children's book illustrator. She worked very hard at her competitive high school, developing an impressive art portfolio in addition to serving as president of the student council and playing tennis. Her hard work, combined with a very high SAT score, earned Alison a place at New York University, where she chose to major in art and graphic design. Alison worked in the college's learning center for four semesters, helping others master topics that came easily to her, and she quickly discovered how much she enjoyed supporting others' learning.

After graduating from NYU, Alison remained in New York, where she taught art classes at an international high school and community college while also illustrating children's books for a major publishing house. Alison obtained a master's degree in education from Fordham University, and when her former college roommate accepted a job in London, she invited Alison to move with her. Alison was excited to enjoy a new adventure, and while her illustrating work could be done anywhere in the world, she soon missed working directly with students. Thankfully, she joined the team at Manhattan Review, and students praise her helpful memorization techniques, as well as her time management skills. When she isn't helping the next generation of college students master the SAT, Alison can be found kayaking on the Thames and exploring the United Kingdom with friends.
