Meet a London TOEFL Tutor: Hao G.
Hao G. was born in Taipei and lived there for the first thirteen years of his life until his mother accepted a position with a large tech company in San Francisco. Hao loved working with computers and quickly learned to create programs and games. Hao worked very hard in high school and obtained a stellar ACT score, which allowed him to attend Dartmouth University, where he majored in computer science and worked as a tutor for four semesters. After graduating from Dartmouth, Hao went on to obtain a master's degree in computer science from MIT, followed by a TESOL certificate. After graduating, he happily accepted a position with a non-profit organization focused on improving access to technology around the world.
Hao traveled the world for more than a decade, living in India, Serbia, Botswana, and Thailand before eventually settling in London. While he enjoyed his work with computers, he also loved helping others learn, and he knew how important a thorough knowledge of the English language could be. Hao soon joined the team at Manhattan Review, and his students praise his dedication, as well as his clear explanations and helpful study tips. When Hao isn't preparing the next generation of college students for their own successes, he can be found picnicking in local parks when the weather is nice and trying new restaurants with friends.
