In some parts of the United States, the ACT is actually favored over the SAT by high school students preparing their college applications. Other students, however, know they do not perform at their best when attempting to learn complex academic information in a group setting. Meet a Munich ACT Tutor: Juan D.

Juan D. was born in Barcelona and never really imagined living anywhere else until he moved to the US for college. Juan hoped to one day become a professional educator, like his father and uncle, and he dreamed of specializing in mathematics. After obtaining a very high ACT score, Juan was accepted at the University of Colorado. During his time in Colorado, Juan worked part-time as a tutor in the Math Lab, helping others who did not enjoy working with numbers as much as he did. After graduating, Juan obtained a master's degree in mathematics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), as well as a master's degree in education from Cal State University. When he was offered a position as a math teacher at a school in Munich, Juan happily packed his suitcases and quickly relocated.

Juan loves any chance to work with students, and when he learned Manhattan Review had a local office in Munich, he reached out about helping students prepare for the ACT and other standardized tests. Juan was quickly welcomed to the team, and his private tutoring students love his thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to test mastery. When Juan isn't guiding future college students to their own ACT successes, he can be found playing the cello and going dancing with friends.
