Meet a Berlin TOEFL Tutor: Carlotta B.

Carlotta B. has always loved languages. Originally from Milan, she moved to the United States to attend college, and she graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in linguistics. During her undergraduate program, she worked as a tutor in her school's learning center and enjoyed helping others master information that came easily to her. Carlotta then obtained a master's degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a TESOL certificate from American University. Shortly after graduating, she was hired as a translator by a global tech company with an office in Berlin. Carlotta speaks four languages, including English, German, Italian, and French, and she was happy to have the chance to help people communicate better in a corporate environment.

While Carlotta enjoyed her work, she also wanted to support others seeking their own professional and academic successes, and she knew the importance of a quality education. When she learned Manhattan Review had an office in Berlin, she contacted us about helping students prepare for the TOEFL and other standardized tests assessing one's knowledge of English. We were thrilled to welcome Carlotta to the team, and her classroom-style prep courses fill up almost as soon as they are announced. Her students appreciate her first-hand experience in the field, as well as her extensive academic knowledge. When she isn't guiding future college students to their own TOEFL success, Carlotta enjoys traveling throughout Europe and Africa and working on her photography skills.
