Meet a Frankfurt TOEFL Tutor: Lina B.
Lina B. has always loved languages. Originally from Dresden, she moved to the United States to attend college, and she graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in linguistics. During her undergraduate program, she worked as a tutor in her school's learning center and enjoyed helping others master information that came easily to her. She then obtained a master's degree in international relations, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of Southern California. Shortly after graduating, she was hired as a translator by an international tech company in Frankfurt. Lina speaks four languages, including English, German, French, and Spanish, and she was happy to have the chance to help people communicate better in a corporate environment.
While Lina enjoyed her work, she also wanted to support others seeking their own professional and academic successes, and she knew the importance of a quality education. When she learned Manhattan Review had an office in Frankfurt, she reached out us about helping students prepare for the TOEFL and other standardized tests assessing one's knowledge of English. We were thrilled to welcome Lina to the team, and her classroom-style prep courses fill up almost as soon as they are announced. Her students appreciate her hands-on experience in the field, as well as her strong academic knowledge. When she isn't guiding future college students to their own TOEFL success, Lina enjoys perfecting her photography skills and creating ceramic pottery.
