TOEFL Prep Course London - Photo of Student Mirco

My classes with Mr. Scheno were perfect to prepare for the actual TOEFL test – I can give my total recommendation for attending his classes. During our first appopintment he analyzed my strengths and weaknesses to set up my personal course syllabus. These customized classes improved my writing, speaking, reading and listening abilities a lot and raised my confidence to succeed the TOEFL test, which I in fact succeeded. At any time, Mr. Scheno responded rapidly and accurately to my questions and was available even beyond classes. It was a great and successfull experience to work with Mr. Scheno. Many thanks!

Meet a London TOEFL Tutor: Kitra N.

Kitra N. has always had an ear for languages. Originally from Stockholm, she moved to the United States to attend college, and she graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in linguistics. During her undergraduate program, she worked as a tutor in her school's learning center and enjoyed helping others master information that came easily to her. She then obtained a master's degree in international relations, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of California at San Diego. Shortly after graduating, she was hired as a translator by an international tech company in London. Kitra speaks four languages and she was excited to help people communicate more clearly in a corporate environment.

While Kitra enjoyed translating, she also missed working directly with students and wanted to support others seeking to obtain their own professional and academic successes. When she learned Manhattan Review had an office in London, she contacted us about helping students prepare for the TOEFL and other standardized tests assessing one's knowledge of English. We quickly welcomed Kitra to the team, and her classroom-style prep courses fill up almost as soon as they are announced. Her students appreciate her extensive academic knowledge, as well as her ability to explain the English language in simple and easy-to-remember ways. When she isn't guiding future college students to their own TOEFL success, Kitra enjoys running marathons and volunteering at a local girls' athletic club.
