Meet a Vienna Tutor: Johanna G.

Johanna G. grew up in Vienna, then moved to the United States to attend college. She grew up admiring the teachers who helped her succeed in school and knew she wanted to pursue a career as an educator. Johanna majored in history at Johns Hopkins University. She then obtained a master's degree in education from the University of Maryland and after graduating, she accepted a position in the Baltimore public school system, teaching history and English to English-speaking and ESL students. Johanna loved the work she did and received several well-deserved promotions. As she found herself assuming a more managerial role, Johanna missed interacting directly with students and sought to return to the classroom. After a few years, Johanna was offered a position at an international school in Vienna, and she was thrilled to return home. When Manhattan Review opened an office in the city, Johanna quickly joined the team as a professional instructor. 

Johanna has first-hand experience with a wide variety of standardized tests, and she knows how to help students master the content they need to ensure their own academic success.
